Understandings of Biblical Teachings

I have still yet to understand those that are pariotic and "Christians".  The name Christian breaks down to "Christ in us".  This being said, Jesus was a freeloading wonderer who was born of a royal lineage.  He was also a hippie by today's standard.  He opposed militarism and human control over the populace.  He was against violence and stood for peace, love, harmony, and freedom without oppression.
Militaristic life is totally counter to this set of teachings.  Those with this world view believe in killing to prove a point.  Essentially, "If you don't agree with me, you will be killed".  No different than the Crusades of the 1500's.  Most modern ministers and religious leaders used to condemn this ideology.  But now it seems that the religious and wealthy have, once again, embraced this love affair with death and pillaging.
I have never read a passage of the Bible that claimed Jesus was armed, or in any form, actually dangerous to any person physically.  The man reattached the ear of a man he knew was going to take him to be tortured and publicly executed.  He did not fight back.  He was stern with his followers who wanted, and tried, to fight back.  This seems no different than protesters and civilly minded people of today.  Are they much truer Christians than those with the gun?  Don't ask them, they will just beat you for it.
The next time I hear a cop tell me that they are a Right leaning, Republican voting, Christian, I will ask them where Jesus packed his "heat".  I will ask them about how their violent actions align themselves with the commandments of the Bible and the people loving hippie they take the name of.  I will also ask them how they enjoy being the exact same person that nailed Jesus to a cross for public execution, psychologically.  I hope they don't tell me that we are perfectly civil because their violence and harm is outside of the public view, now.  We now put people in cages behind heavy doors before we do anything like that now...  Just as evil as the executors of Jesus, just so much more covert.
The modern "Christian"- even more violent than their claims of any other faith.  But, they refuse to see it.  Their might makes their mindset right.  But never forget, the writers and the peaceful are the heros at the end of any armed conflict.  Just look to any historical text.  The blood thirsty are the real enemy.  Just do what Jesus would have done.  Turn the other cheek and be a peaceful lover of your fellow man while your oppressors torture and kill for their blood thirst and sadistic enjoyment.
